FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Tampa, Fla. – Faircount Media Group has once again been honored with the duty of publishing an official commissioning magazine for the Navy League of the United States, Hampton Roads.

Scheduled to take place in early 2013, the commissioning of the USS Arlington (LPD 24), will be a ceremony deeply rooted in naval history, and is expected to see thousands gather to show support for the men and women who will soon serve aboard the Arlington. Participants and spectators of the ceremony will be witness to all the pomp and circumstance that surrounds this very rare and special occasion. In addition to being part of this great event, participants and attendees will also receive a complimentary copy of the commissioning publication, which will contain historical articles on amphibious warfare, the Navy and Marine Corps, features describing the ship and its crew, and more.

The Arlington, like her sister ships, USS New York (LPD 21) and PCU Somerset (LPD 25), is a San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock. These three ships are named in commemoration of the September 11, 2001 attacks. Steel taken from the Pentagon following the attacks will be displayed aboard the ship.

The honor of producing a commissioning publication is nothing new to Faircount, having done so for many vessels, including the two newest aircraft carriers to join the fleet, the USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) and USS George Bush (CVN 77), as well as the aforementioned USS New York.

Companies interested in being part of the Arlington commissioning publication should contact Steve Chidel at 813-675-3816, or via email @ steve.chidel(at)faircount(dot)com
