Marine Corps Museum

In 2006 Faircount partnered with the Marine Corps and the Marine Corps Historical Foundation to develop a historic publication to mark the opening of the National Museum of the Marine Corps. The resulting work was a superb example of teamwork in which a publication was produced not only of extremely high editorial standards but one that played a key role in assisting the museum in realizing its fund-raising and marketing goals.

The Commandant of the U.S Marine Corps had approved November 10, 2006 (the 231st birthday of the USMC) as the date for the official dedication ceremony of the National Museum of the Marine Corps. The celebrations began November 9, 2006 with a VIP black tie reception in the museum. The dedication ceremony then followed at 2.00 pm on November 10, 2006, with approximately 20,000 dignitaries, Marines, donors and veterans in attendance, and the President of the United States as the guest of honor and Jim Lehrer as the main speaker.
