Carnegie Hall and Leonard Bernstein

To commemorate the 90th anniversary of Leonard Bernstein’s birth and the 50th anniversary of his appointment as music director of the New York Philharmonic, Carnegie Hall and the New York Philharmonic ran a festival in the fall of 2008 featuring more than 30 events in seven different venues throughout New York City.

To mark the occasion Gramophone, the world’s leading classical music magazine, and Faircount Media Group produced a special collector’s edition publication for the event, featuring informative articles on Bernstein, his life, career, as well as information on the concert programs, performers, venues, and broadcasts. The publication was endorsed by Carnegie Hall and the New York Philharmonic.
