Joint Strike Fighter Series Continues with Special Edition for Delivery of First Aircraft

The second volume in a series of milestone publications for the F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) has just been released.

F-35 Lightning II: Joint Strike Fighter has been timed to coincide with ceremonies commemorating delivery of the first group of aircraft to Eglin Air Force Base, Fla.

The second in this three-part series of publications covers what constitutes a fifth-generation strike fighter; the 33rd Fighter Wing, the unique joint training wing with squadrons from the Air Force, Navy, and Marine Corps; the importance of the Marine variant F-35B short takeoff/vertical landing (STOVL) aircraft; flight testing of the F-35A, the Air Force fighter, and the Navy’s F-35C; contractors and international partners; interviews with leadership in each of the services procuring the aircraft; and more.

The publication has been delivered to personnel at Eglin for the delivery ceremony in addition to being sent to senior personnel throughout the Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Pentagon, international partner countries, members of Congress, and senior executives and program managers throughout the community of JSF contractors and sub-contractors.
